I've been writing and blogging for quite a while now and so I'm no stranger to the swag that occasionally comes one's way doing these things. But I've not been more grateful and happy receiving one than this instance. A few weeks ago we received a ginormous present and it was fairly intimidating not to mention unexpected.
I'm starting this post with my personal 'Best of Show', this beautiful '65 Porsche 911.
The best classics are meant to make you imagine the wind in your hair, hearing that 180bhp six flat revving high along a mountain pass, and this model delivers that feeling for me. It is just absolutely gorgeous.
I have once again been lucky enough to have been lent by Nissan their latest model the Almera, 'Nissan's Best-Selling Global Sedan'. A quick check online reveals as much, being a popular model in Asia and Europe except of course here. Last week I took it around my normal trips plus a weekend Tagaytay vacay. Here's what I thought:
I love Bring a Trailer (BaT). Like most of the car nuts that read it, it is often the best part of my day. I've bookmarked many of the cars sold there over the years (yes, years), for looking at when I'm bored or out of it. No I kid you not.
So imagine my surprise when I opened it this morning and found this.

After 1.5 days, most of which was spent driving around Manila, here's what I thought:
Responsive, quick and super easy to drive. Jill says its the easiest thing she ever drove. A glowing review, but keep in mind Jill is a pretty good driver and can drive anything with wheels on it (a fact that makes this car nut proud).

Last weekend, the nice people of NMPI temporarily lost their sanity and lent me the new Nissan Sentra 200 for review. Deciding to treat it gently, I did the logical thing and took it on a 600km journey up and down Baguio. Here's what I thought of it.
